Yes.
You all have executed an excellent fundraiser in record time. I'm proud of you too!
Yes, we should have a club get together. In the recent past we've done the bowling alley, but before that we've gone to the pub on campus, to local parks, to Fresno restaurants and once we even rented out a small hall.
Everyone should be brainstorming about what kind of party would be best.
We should be careful to only spend funds from this fundraising campaign on hygiene materials for this campaign. Any funds remaining after the purchase of the hygiene materials should be deposited in the club account, and new forms completed for any other purchases, such as bottles, T-shirts and party materials. It seems the consensus so far is to not have the club purchase t-shirts. That's OK with me.
If nobody has any objections, I think Crystal and I should make another order right away, so we can meet the demand (I can't believe how fast they sold out!).
I think its a great idea to have the current officers writeup something for future officers.
I've created a private blog page (we have a facebook account for the public), at
http://fresno-sociology-club.blogspot.com/
I've made everyone a member, to facilitate easy posting. Something like this will serve the function of the usb drive, but will be much more accessible as the officers change hands, there will be a place where any of them can find the information at any time. I would appreciate any advice anyone would like to leave for future officers, or any other things, to be sent to the page. It is a private page, not accessible in lists of blogger users or search engines, so its just a place for internal communication. You can send messages several ways. The easiest, I think, is sending messages to the blog via email -- tkubal2.2009.sociology@blogspot.com.
I added that email address to this message, so this discussion should appear on the blog.

I think the bottles is a great idea...
Also do we even have people interested in becoming officers?
I was also going to suggest lets not attack them and force them to take an officer position lol. I say this because if they are not willing to on their own will they really care for the club and execute to do things? I honest believe if they show interest and WANT to be an officer on their own I think thy will do Great.
Crystal what about buying a USB for the SOC club and leaving it with what we have done, contacts, ideas, etc?

I agree, Dr. Kubal had mentioned having an end-of-semester social/party. We would need to agree on the date and place for this. Also, I think that maybe purchasing more bottles would be a good idea to sell to the people from the Sociology Department. I had many people ask if they could purchase one. So selling bottles on a regular basis would be a way to raise money for the club along side shirts, but yes $400 would be a little too much to spend on shirts.
Like Hannah said, we need to leave some money for future officers to have events and to continue doing the Personal Hygiene every semester. Of course we will talk to them and let them know what has worked and what has not worked for us in terms of raising money.-Crystal

If we don't use all the money maybe we can buy $100 worth for next semester which will benefit the club next semester. Also I think IF we do have $ to spare lets have a lil social with it and celebrate why we have accomplished in two semesters!!!We have proven as a group that if we are dedicated to do something we take action and execute!!! I am so proud of us!!
Xochilt VelazquezHello Everyone,So after next week we would have raised $500 for the club!Technically we raised this amount of money in two weeks which is awesome.
We will be using the money for the items we do not get enough donations for and we should have a good amount of money left over.Dr. Kubal had suggested using about $400 for buying T-shirts.
We have known about needing new club T-Shirts from the beginning of the semester. There have been a number of people that are interested in purchasing shirts this semester. So I need your opinion on this.Crystal RamirezCSUF Sociology Club President
